So I finally decided to stop being a slacker and have set up my laptop with internet in our room. I have a ton of honeymoon pics already, and will have them posted here or on another post within the next day or so. Maui's beautiful BTW... in case if you hadn't heard...
This, being the first of many, is a merged image of the view from our balcony. That is the sunset over the Pacific. We may not come back...
T and I just got back from dinner... so I decided to shrink some stuff down to web size and post it. Super high res shots avail if anyone wants.
T and Q in Viking hotel Newport
T's texting before we push back from PVD
OMG I broke my camera?!?!
Nope... it was just those ugly ass drapes at the Red Roof Inn Seattle. A site to behold...
This is the pacific from 38K ft.
Our room in Maui. Bathroom is quite awesome. T loves it.
You can see the parasailers from our balcony.
This is the view from the upper lobby with some idiot standing in the way.
This is a picture of the Sheraton from just up the beach. Black rock is a gathering point for a bunch of people from all the resorts up and down the strip.
This is what we go to bed to. Almost as beautiful as my wife.
For those that didn't see the link in comments, here's Nathan's visual warning about Scuba Steve...
We'll be sure to avoid him Nathan... he looks some kind of stupid dangerous.
The rsvp's are in, flowers ordered, tiara fitted perfectly to my head...and we are 5 days out !!
To all of you who are attending, I would like to express my gratitude. It means so much to Steve and I that you are willing to schlepp to RI to see us get married. We are really touched, and appreciate it greatly. To those who are unable to attend, we are still tossing around the idea of doing a very informal "Octoberfest" type cookout after we return from our honeymoon; to celebrate with people who were unable to make the trip. Nothing definite, but it is still in consideration.
Food-If you haven't already, please email myself, or Steve and let us know your food selection. Choices are: Chilean Sea Bass, Filet Mignon (w/small salmon fillet), or a vegetarian plate (also vegan). If you do not let us know-you will get the "kids" plate-chicken fingers and french fries. j/k
See you in a few days !
Teresa and I went out this past Sunday and started up a couple of registries. We'll look to add more items, and hopefully a couple more stores for the convenience factor. We'll also post additional details here in the blog.
Click here to visit the registry section of our page.
For those that have been there before: Yes, you can still get us something from Yacht World.
Invitations have gone out! Please RSVP by June 8th. Also note that this is a sit down dinner, so we'll need counts to plan when we head back up later on in June to finalize arrangements. Once we have all of the "Yes" cards accounted for, we'll plan out the menu and post it here. You'll also have a section where you will submit what you want on your plate (we have to give them numbers on the main course ahead of time so they know how much food to prepare).
On a side note, if you have any questions/concerns regarding accommodations in Newport, please reach out to me and we'll get something together. For those that really hate cars (and don't want to suffer the 7 hour run from Baltimore), Southwest has major hubs in BWI and Providence. Round trip tickets are going for ~$200. So if you were looking for airfare on travel websites or other airlines, make sure you check out Southwest as well.
And no... Southwest did not pay me for that...
... but they should...
We've got a wedding blog! Isn't it awesome?
... C'mon... it's pretty awesome...
... ok, ya, it's just a blog. But it's a blog built with love! Here in lies a medium to which all sorts of amazing and wonderful information will flow. As soon as Teresa knows it, she'll have it posted here! Sometimes it'll be posted here before she even knows it! That's how awesome this blog is! It jumps forward in time and gets you inf...
... still not buying it? Just you wait...
